Soccer was intended to start this Saturday for all 4,5 and 6 year olds.  However, because of the lack of coaching volunteers I am going to have to delay the season by a week.  I am hoping during this time that we get some additional volunteers.  The spring season is free because of the volunteers that we have and when there are not enough volunteers the program doesn’t run as smoothly as it normally does.
The season will start on Saturday 4/29.  We will not be able to separate the 4,5 and 6 year olds this year.  I am going to divide all of the 4,5 and 6 year olds into two groups.  We will have a Green Group and a Gold Group.  I am doing my best to keep the 4 and the 6 year olds separated.
  • The Green Group will play at 12:30pm on Saturday afternoons
  • The Gold Group will play at 1:30pm on Saturday afternoons
Sessions will be 1 hour in length.  All kids are required to wear shin guards and we strongly recommend that they have soccer shoes on.  All sessions will be held at the Southwick Rec Center Soccer Fields.
When your coach reaches out to you they will recommend a color shirt that your team wears.  If all the kids on the same team are in like colors then they won’t need to wear pinnies.  Otherwise we will have pinnies for the kids to wear during the game portion of the session.
Again, soccer for 4,5 and 6 year olds will be starting on Saturday 4/29.
